Who we are…
Car and Van hire Pwllheli
Since 1983, Hardy’s has been in business. We were originally based in Sarn Meyllteyrn, in the centre of the Llyn Peninsular, trading
as a Village Petrol Station and Repair Garage. Later, we expanded our services at the site, becoming a Recovery Specialist and
an Insurance Approved Body Shop too. From there, we took over and also ran the Village Shop and Post office, until we outgrew the
premises in 1999 and moved to our current site here in Pwllheli.
…providing Vehicles for Over 20 years
Once based at our new site, we decided to concentrate on the repair side of the business, in conjunction with our Recovery Business and so gave up the Petrol station, Shop and Post Office. We did however, see an opening for a small hire car business and soon developed this with a small fleet of both new and older vehicles for hire.
Today, we also use some of our fleet as courtesy cars for the garage, so we can help our Recovery Customers to get home after they have suffered an out of hours breakdown or during our busy times, when we have no recovery staff available.

A few years ago, we added vans to the fleet, starting with just a Transit Van but we soon realised we needed more and a wider choice of vehicles. Our fleet now ranges from a small Transit size van, to larger long wheel base medium roof vans together with vans with a box construction and a tail lift. We also have access to a tipper van should it be required.
We are continuing to expand our fleet and we are interested in short or long-term hire.
We are able to source a multitude of types and specifications for vehicles, including vans and these can be hired for periods of days, weeks or months. We also have the flexibility to do 6 month, 12 Month, 24 month or 36 month hire deals, all at competitive rates and subject to availability.
We have a range of pricing and options to suit most customers, our daily rates are discounted after the third day and we offer weekend rates to assist with our slightly restricted hours at weekends.
Our hires start at 9am however you can collect any time during our operating hours. Returning a vehicle must be done by 9am on the end day of hire agreement.
We have option to hire Manual and Automatic vehicles.
During the summer months, we increase our fleet, as we have an influx of visitors coming to stay around here on holiday.
